It pays to personalise your passwords and passcodes

Wednesday, August 31st, 2016

A gentle reminder to personalise your passwords and passcodes.

Passcodes like 0000 and 1234 are default passcodes, in other words codes that are used in the initial set up of the system or when resetting it. Similarly default passwords are often ‘admin’ or ‘password’. It is normal practice for the user to change the passcodes/passwords to something more personal after purchase. Using the default codes or passwords for any equipment does pose a security risk and is not recommended. canstockphoto3788950

Your passcodes and passwords can usually be changed easily by following procedures in the related user guides.
