Events coming up

Events are a great way to meet new connections and strengthen existing relationships whilst learning something new and they often end up being fun days out too.

A particular fun event that comes to mind was The Networkers Networking Event held at Port Lympne Zoo. We were exhibiting at the event which was a treat, it’s a fantastic location but the highlight was a wildlife safari at the end of the day. It’s not often that you get to network with a giraffe!

Events coming up they we will be attending will be the Tech Expo on the 26th September at The Kent Event centre at Detling.

Tech Expo

This will be a one-day exhibition exploring all things tech that help businesses grow and work more efficiently.  Industry leaders Microsoft will be providing the keynote seminar.  Security expert, Richard Bell will be telling us how to stay safe in a digital world and William Burton from Dale Carneige will be discussing the importance of being human whilst being surrounded by all this automation.

The event runs from 9am to 4pm and is the first of its kind in the South East. More details can be found here.

Also on the 26th September, (yes it’s going to be a busy day) is The Business Soundbites networking event on breaking down barriers to achieve professional success. The event is held at the Gulbenkian Theatre at The University of Kent.

Organisers, Kent Business School, in partnership with Kent Law School, Girlings Solicitors and Girlings Personal Injury Claims, are coming together to celebrate the centenary of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919 which paved the way for movement towards equality for women in the workplace. At the event five female professionals working in different sectors, will be sharing their stories and telling how they have each broken down barriers to be successful in their careers.

 Karen Cox

Karen Cox, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Kent will be leading the evening with her version of Breaking Down Barriers.

Telcare’s Lisa Settle has the pleasure of hosting this event and is very much looking forward to it.  The event times are 5pm to 8.30pm, tickets are available here.
